Created in collaboration with Sarah l’Anson Design Office, the fit-out is inspired by the architectural and social spirit of the Italian piazza. Like all Venroy spaces, the Byron store is transportive—inviting visitors into a world where the lines between shopping and leisure blur. Cool in tone and considered in design, it’s a natural extension of the brand’s coastal DNA and a fitting milestone in Venroy’s growing global story.

Global menswear brand

Saturdays NYC brings its iconic blend of surf culture, minimalist design, and global cool to Jonson Lane with the opening of its Byron Bay store—marking the brand’s third Australian location and ninth worldwide. Designed by high-concept spatial practice Akin Atelier, the space is understated and intentional, with nods to the brand’s New York roots. This globally recognised brand is known for its clean aesthetic, collaborations with the likes of Porter Yoshida, and its serious cultural cachet.

Combining the leisurely ambiance of Byron Bay with the best of city dining, Pixie Italian brings a modern coastal twist to traditional Italian cuisine. Designed by the award-winning Flack Studio, the interiors channel 1970s Italy through a kaleidoscope of colour, texture, and movement. Rounding out this beloved venue is its pedigree, brought to the lane by the team behind Light Years, Moonlight Hibachi Grill & Wine Bar, Bar Monte, and The Smoking Camel.

Nagnata’s flagship at Jonson Lane brings the brand’s fusion of fashion, movement, and mindful design into a sculptural, gallery-like space. Founded by Byron sisters, Laura May and Hannah Gibbs, the label is globally recognised for its innovative knitwear and genderless silhouettes. Both the brand and store have earned industry recognition, most recently the 2024 Australian Fashion Laureate for Sustainable Designer of the Year. Designed with Pattern Studio, the space channels the Nagnata ethos through curved forms, raw finishes, and moody, atmospheric light—every detail as intentional as the garments themselves.

Light Years has landed in Jonson Lane with its most refined iteration yet—bringing the brand’s signature blend of modern Asian share plates, bold flavours, and good-time dining to a space designed for long lunches and lively nights. Conceived by renowned interior designer Sarah Ellison in collaboration with Studio Plenty, the new fit-out is drenched in tonal elegance, complete with a terrazzo bar and private dining room. It’s Byron’s go-to for special occasions, casual dinners, and everything in between.

Deiji Studios brings its cult-loved blend of slow fashion and elevated minimalism to Jonson Lane with the opening of its flagship store. Founded locally and followed globally, the brand is celebrated for its fluid approach to design, where daywear meets sleepwear and comfort speaks volumes. Designed by award-winning practice Pattern Studio, the space is a calm, sculptural extension of Deiji’s quietly luxurious world—cool, considered, and completely at home in Byron Bay.

It’s an elevated and effortlessly cool space where high-end hair artistry meets curated design.

Parisian-inspired wine bar

Bar Heather brings a bold dose of Parisian-inspired polish to Jonson Lane. The natural wine bar and restaurant is of serious culinary pedigree, with head chef Ollie Wong (previously of Ester, Sixpenny, and Mr. Wong) and owners James Audas and Tom Sheer (of Noma, Oscillate Wildy, and LP’s) teaming up to redefine premium hospitality in Byron Bay. Their wine credentials run deep, with Lo-Fi Wines cellar at the heart of the 650-bottle list and sommelier Ollie Smith (of 10 William Street) keeping the good stuff flowing.
